A Message from Bridget McKeeverWhat an incredible opportunity and privilege it is to serve as the 94th president of the Texas Medical Association Alliance - the largest and best medical alliance in the country!
This is such a thrill and honor for me. When I joined the Nueces County Medical Society Alliance in Corpus Christi 22 years ago, I never imagined that my involvement would lead me to this singular opportunity. I am both excited and humbled.
Throughout my association with the local, state and national alliance organizations, I have encountered leaders who have inspired, motivated and mentored me along the way. Their dedication and commitment to TMAA and the family of medicine is unwavering. To them, I am eternally grateful, and I will do my best to abide by the example they set.
When asked what the Alliance is, we sometimes stumble on our words because it is difficult to condense all that we do into a few sentences. From working as grassroots political advocates to serving as community health volunteers in our local communities, the Alliance exists to further the cause of medicine and to make Texas a better, healthier place for the patients of this great state.
I know that my collaboration with Dr. Bruce Malone, TMA's 2011-2012 president, will inspire me to take on new challenges to serve the medical family. With the support of our members, I will work to ensure that the Alliance continues to be TMA's strongest ally.
